The ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) was established by ASEAN leaders at the 7th ASEAN Summit in 2001 in Brunei. The ASEAN BAC Secretariat was established in Jakarta, Indonesia in 2003.
The ASEAN BAC has the main task of promoting public-private partnerships towards integration and formation of the ASEAN Economic Community and providing private feedback on the implementation of economic cooperation in ASEAN region, as well as recommending priority areas for ASEAN leaders to consider.
The ASEAN Business Awards (ABA) is a prestigious international-level event held annually by the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN BAC) since 2007.
With 13 years of implementation, the ABA event has brought opportunities for businesses to reaffirm their position and prestige among industry peers, advance their competitiveness and integration, and enhance the brand throughout the ASEAN region and on a global level.
